Labor Day Onion Days Parade

On Labor Day Payson was putting on their Onion Days Parade so we decided to go down and check it out as a family since Daddy had the day off. We got to the parade kind of late (right as it was supposed to start) and immediately thought we wouldn’t be able to find a spot. However, apparently no one likes sitting on the sunny side of the street here in Payson so there were oodles and oodles of room to set up camp and we got a front row seat!

The boys all relaxed waiting for the parade to start

Our perfect little front row spot!

Brans wanted to take a picture. Good job buddy!

Both boys got so excited when 2 helicopters started flying overhead

My sweet little boy! He was the only one who got shade!

Cute Branny Flakes!

Harry pointing at the big fire trucks coming down the street!

And it begins!

Both boys enjoyed seeing all the police cars and fire trucks
although they were SO LOUD that we all had to cover our ears

We loved the Scottish Bag Pipes Band

And were pretty impressed to learn that Paysons Wrestling Team had taken State this year.

My 4 adorable boys!

It was funny because almost every float in the entire parade was some cities beauty pageant float (everywhere from Nehpi to Orem!)

We liked the Wizard of Oz float (the play is showing in Payson right now)

Another City Royalty Float

All in all it wasn’t a bad parade, not the best I’ve ever been to, but for a small town like Payson it was pretty good! And we had a great time just being together as a family!
