Since Adam had a few days off before beginning his new job at Omniture we decided to do a “Staycation” and do some fun things around the valley. For our first day we had hoped to take the kids to a water park, but I guess because school is now in session that most water parks now have new limited hours. So we had to change our plans a bit and ended up taking the kids up to Sandy to the “Living Planet Aquarium.” We were lucky enough to convince my friend Bekah and her three kids Sabrina, Trevor, and Brinley (who also live in sandy) to come with us and we had a great time looking at all the fish and sea life at the aquarium and then exploring the new African jungle section too. The kids loved petting the sting rays and seeing the bright blue, green, and yellow frogs! It was a fun afternoon of exploring.
Afterwards we went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, “Texas Roadhouse,” where we were finally able to celebrate my Masters degree graduation. (I have been holding off celebrating JUST so we could go there!) So that was really fun. I got a sirloin steak and Ad got their yummy pulled pork. Then afterwards we headed home for Bransons second Soccer game.
Unfortunately, I forgot the camera at home so we have no pictures of our activities on day 1, but we did manage to snap some pictures from our day 2 adventures, which consisted of going to the Hill Aerospace Museum and up to our family cabin in Logan!
