Harrisons Happenings

For the past couple of months Adam and I have noticed that Harrison has really seemed to slow down on his curious destructive behavior of getting into EVERYTHING he shouldn’t. We were starting to think that maybe it was just a phase and that our nice sweet obedient child was back. However, this week Harrison threw us for a loop when again the behavior started up. This weeks adventures?

1. Harrison gets into Daddy’s office and pulls every piece out of every bag of all 3 of our Settlers of Catan games and expansion packs. For those of you who play settlers I’m sure you can imagine the mess. The many different packs of cards, the tiles for the game, the dice, the little numbered circles, the road pieces, the settlement pieces, the ships, the hotels. And then imagine that mess times 3 because he did the same thing for Cities and Knights and Seafarers! Wow, Thats all I can say. Then imagine having two other games, also with tiny little intricate pieces and cards ALSO strewn across the floor mixed with all the settlers pieces. Yes that is right folks. 5 games in total and probably somewhere in the thousands as far as pieces and cards go. It was QUITE the mess trying to figure out and I’m pretty sure I still didn’t get everything right. It will be quite the adventure to see what is missing next time we play! 🙂

2. Harry gets into Daddy’s office again the next day and this time finds a stack of newspapers which he decides is fun to shred and throw all over the floor.

3. And if that weren’t fun enough, Harry also finds a 100-200 count box of 8×11 tabbed papers in which he decides to empty! P.S. Daddy’s office is off limits to Harrison.

4. Harry gets into the pantry finds the cookies and in the process of eating them gets them all over himself and the kitchen.

5. The toothpaste is again discovered when Harry goes into the bathroom, climbs on his stool, which helps him climb on the counter, where he finds my secret hiding place behind the basket of towels. As usual it goes in his hair. I swear this kid is either going to be a hair stylist of a dentist!

6. Harrison finds Branson’s crayons and draws on the tile floor in the kitchen and then up and down the banister and molding on the stairs!

Anyway, it was quite the exhausting week cleaning up after this little guy. But I had to document it because it usually totally cracks me up later. Needless to say, most of Harry’s week was spent in time-outs! Bless his little curious heart!

He walked into my room and just said, “Momma Cooka!” (Cookie)

Apparently my bedroom is now a designated parking lot.

Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of the other messes, but they were definitely doozies!
