I admit, I have always been completely FASCINATED with Thunder and Lightning Storms. (At least as long a I can remember). In High School I often liked to drive up to the top of cemetery hill in Alpine just to watch the lighting flash across the valley during a good storm, and of course I loved counting how long it took the Thunder to boom afterwards…to see how close the storm was. Last night Adam and I spent probably a good half hour just watching lightning flash during a storm and it was AMAZING! We loved how it lit up the sky’s and would silouette the moutains in the distance.
So today when I saw some lightning flash I instantly opened up the blinds in my bedroom window only to see the incredible storm clouds below! I thought the clouds were so cool that I had to rush outside with my camera to take some pictures. I absolutely LOVE seeing storms like this. However, the storm these clouds brought was INTENSE! They caused the power to go out temporarily and the lightning flashed frequently and the sky’s Thundered angrily almost constantly. The wind blew the rain furiously and I even turned on my radio to see if there was any severe storm warnings in our area. Anywah, It was quite the exciting storm! đ Below are some pictures of the approaching storm just minutes away from releasing its fury.
