I thought since Christmas cards and emails are going out that I would post some pictures highlighting our year. In January we celebrated Adam’s 30th birthday! My parents and I took him out to eat at Tepenyaki a Japanese Steakhouse that we love, and then we had our friend Tyrone call over from his brothers house across the street and invite us over to see his new baby. When we got there Adam was surprised with a surprise party that I had put together for him and a slide show of comments, pictures, and memories from all the people who love him. That month we were also able to go up to Wolf Creek Utah where we stayed in our condo and had a fun weekend with my parents.
In February we took a trip up to Seattle to visit Cam, Erin, & Malachi. We had a great time with them and were able to do some fun things. Here we are at some Falls in WA.
Here is Branson and Malachi playing at a park near Cam & Erin’s home in Bellevue.
In March we put new tile in our 2 bathrooms and kitchen in our house and then did the same in the kitchen and bathroom in our back apartment. We also finished painting and Here are some pictures of the improvements.

We were also able to take one very fun vacation in March with some friends of ours from my old singles ward. They all plan a big get together down in Goblin Valley each year and those that can make it go down. It was our first time going down as a family. We took down my brother Jakes Tent Trailer and had a blast camping with Branson for the first time. He absolutely loved being in the outdoors all day long, but struggled trying to walk with all the bumps and pot holes. Here are some pics from the trip.

May was a great month! We took a much needed Branson free trip (A BIG thanks to my Sis Jess for watching Brans) to Cabo, Mexico to try out our condo down there and invited Adam’s parents Mum and Smurf down with us. The beach was absolutely incredible and we had fun going on a snorkeling tour, on a glass bottom boat ride, watching dolpins, driving around, and trying out some fun restaurants. Here are some pictures of our adventures. I’m about 6.5 months along in these pics.
In May we also celebrated Branson’s 2nd Birthday, and had our yearly Egbert reunion. This year Tarre and Michelle were in charge and reserved us several cabins up at the LDS Heber Valley Camp. We stayed in the Marjorie P. Hinckley camp and had an absolutely wonderful time. We were able to go paddle boating, hiking, go on a challenge course, play some get to know you games, and do a survivor game which was completely hilarious. Enjoy the pics.
In June and July we tried to slow things down a bit since I was in my last few months of pregnancy. We did, however, make it on a quick little weekend trip down to Hurricane, UT in June with some of our good friends the Fraziers and Escamillas. We had a great time down there with them and were able to go wave running and play in a nearby reservoir. We also went to the Logan Cabin with my family for a weekend and had a good time playing games, going on 4 wheeler rides, and spending time together. July was also the month I gave birth to our 9 lb. 14.5 oz angel baby Harrison Felix.
August was a super fun month! Adjusting to two boys seemed impossible at first, but after a few weeks, I started to get the hang of things and our new family of 4 was having a good ol’ time. It helped a lot too that Harrison started out wanting to sleep between 4-6 hours at night! So I was at least getting some sleep. I also had my very favorite mission companion Shantel Winegar get married in August so Adam and Harrison and I flew out to Reno, Nevada for her wedding. I loved meeting her new husband Ryan and sharing that special day with her. We stayed a couple extra days too and went up to one of our condo’s at Lake Tahoe. It was a great getaway, and a fun quick little trip for Adam and I.
September and October were absolutely insanely busy as we had to make up for lost time not being able to vacation much in July and August because of the arrival of Harrison. I put together a big Mount Mahogony reunion BBQ with old friends up Provo Canyon for Labor Day weekend, which was a lot of fun, and great to see old friends. We also were able to spend a day with my old roomie Shauntai Johnson and her daughter Brylie while they were here for her brothers wedding. We went up to Swiss Day’s in Midway and had a blast with the kids. Then just a week later we went up to Adam’s families cabin up in schofield. We took up my sister Jess and her family as well as my closest cousin Fawn and her husband Dave and two kids Owen and Benjamin. We had a great time together and eat lots of good food, went on some fun 4-wheeler rides, and played games. Then the next weekend it was Adam and I’s 5 year anniversary so we had to go and do something fun for that! We ended up booking our Wolf Creek Condo up Ogden canyon and took up two of our closest friends the Jurgens and Ashby’s. What a blast that weekend was! We all took Friday off work and went out on Adam’s Dad’s boat for the day and enjoyed skiing, playing in the sand and laying in the sun. We all took turns making meals too, and that made for one very filling weekend! Both the Jurgens and Ashby’s are excellent cooks and made us some of the yummiest foods I’ve ever had. We played games every night and mostly spent the days talking, laughing, and planning lots of future trips together.
Okay now for Octobers adventures. Last year my side of the family all went in on a Houseboat timeshare, so every first week of October we get to go down to the beautiful and pristine Lake Powell and use it for our Harrison Family Reunion trip. Last year we all had the plague and ended up sick the entire week, and so we were all hoping this year would be a bit better since it is our “Happy place!” and my favorite vacation spot. However, this year didn’t come without it’s share of adventures and catastrophes either. Within the first 5 minutes of being there and on our way over to the houseboat from the shore, my sister in law called my parents cell phone to let them know their boat was on fire!!!! Yikes. So we headed over to where they were with fire extinguisher in hand. Luckily it wasn’t on fire, but was just smoking, but it was so hot that it pretty much melted the engine. So Luke (who luckily is a mechanic) ended up spending the entire night and next day trying to fix it. He was able to find the part (that had melted) at the marina, but it was just to get the engine running. He still had the problem of lowering and bringing up the motor. So he and Adam got in their suits and scuba gear and swam down under the boat to tie the motor down. So we were still able to use it, BUT…we could only go in forward motion. So that made things a bit tricky. Anyway to make a long story short, we ended up having some super nasty wind storms, banged up Lukes boat, and I came home with a bruise on my leg the size of a football! Surprisingly enough though….we had a WONDERFUL time and can’t wait for next year!

In October we were also able to fly out to Seattle again with the kids to visit Cam and Erin. We spent one night at their house and then took a ferry out to Orcus Island for the rest of the weekend. We had so much fun playing on the beach, driving around the state parks, playing games, and relaxing. It was a great trip and we just love being with Cam and Erin.
Then of course we had Halloween in October! Branson was Elmo from Sesame Street and Harrison was a scurvy pirate. At Lake Powell my Mom got a pirates flag and we had a treasure hunt and dressed the kids up as pirates and taught them the song from Pirates of the Caribbean. So when I found a pirates costume in Seattle that said “yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me,” I had to get it. On Halloween we dressed the boys up in the morning and Mum and Smurf came by to see the boys and take some pictures. Then in the afternoon we headed over to Novell to meet Adam and then took the boys around cubical treating which is a tradition at Novell. Afterwards we headed up to my Mom’s where we spent a lovely evening with family. Here are some pics.

November was absolutely heavenly and crazy enough, we didn’t leave town even once! 🙂 Unless you count going up to the Egbert Family Cabin for Thanksgiving, but that’s only an hour away. Adam did have a business trip to Orlando though (without me) so that was tough, but at the same time it was nice to just stay home for awhile. The kids and I went to Nana’s and Grandma’s a lot and also got to go to Kollin and Kaden’s first birthday party. Thanksgiving was wonderful and we had a great time at the cabin with Adam’s family. We played the Wii, xbox, playstation, computer games, card games, and board games….did a puzzle, eat a ton and slept in as much as we could. We stayed 2 nights up there and then came home and Mum had us all over just one day later for the traditional adult prime rib Christmas dinner. Cam and Chris were both in town, so she decided to do it Thanksgiving weekend so they could both be there. Then that Sunday my Mom had us all over for the Harrison Thanksgiving dinner. So by the end of the weekend we were sure stuffed!
