Day 2 in Tahiti consisted of us enjoying some sunshine at the pool, and then packing up to board our 7 day cruise on a Windstar sail boat.

Our taxi driver that took us from our hotel to the marina (named Imiura), just happened to be a member of our church and shared the most amazing story about his families conversion.
His Grandfather had been searching for a new church and one night had a dream that missionaries had come to the big island and that he needed to leave immediately to meet them. It was in the middle of the night on his small island and around 2:00 in the morning.
His Grandpa woke his son, (Imiuras Dad) and told him to help get their boat ready. Imiuras Dad protested wanting to wait until morning but the Grandfather felt strongly to go right away despite the time so they left in the dark on the boat and sailed all night. When they arrived at the dock they met the missionaries and asked them to teach them. The missionaries went back with them to their island and taught their family the restored gospel.
Imiuras Grandfather was the first person baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on their island, and now the island has 3 wards! Such an amazing story! ❤️
I love how God led Imiuras Grandfather to find the greater truth and knowledge he was seeking and how Imiuras Grandfather responded immediately to the prompting and dream knowing it was from God. I love how because of his Grandfather faith, that now Imiura’s whole family and island had been blessed.
It made me wonder what promptings I too might have that when followed will bring as
great blessings to my family and future posterity! But what a wonderful morning with Imiura!
After getting dropped off we checked into our boat, we’re tested for Covid a third time, and then finally allowed to board. We got situated in our room and then headed up to the main deck to explore and have lunch. We ended the night by watching the sails go up and sailing off into the sunset (and a storm!) 😂 but another fabulous day in Tahiti! 💕🌸
