Day 18-20 in Peru

Days 18-20 in Peru were the last of our epic adventure so we wanted to make the most of them. Our awesome guide Adner helped us book 3 nights with a Peruvian family in a small town called Pacchanta at the base of the Ausengate mountains so we could live like a Peruvian for a few days. Talk about a beautiful place! ❤️

Here our adventures included bathing in the town hot springs with all the locals, doing laundry by hand, seeing a herd of over 100 alpaca, horseback riding, eating lots of yummy homemade Peruvian food, and a 6 mile hike to the 7 lagoons (lakes) near the Ausengate Glacier.

We then spent the next 3 days traveling back home to Utah. We had to take a flight from Cusco to Lima one day and spend the night. Then take another flight from Lima to Costa Rica and spend a night. Then another flight from Costa Rica to Las Vegas and spend a night. 🤪

Boy we’re we bushed after so much traveling, especially considering we still had a 6 hour drive left to do, but it was all worth it and one of the most amazing trips of our life!

We can’t express enough gratitude to Adams work for giving him 5 weeks paid time off for 10 years of work at Adobe. We realize with so many losing jobs what an incredible gift this was, and it’s one we hope to never take for granted! Thank you Adobe for treating us so well, and thank you God for creating such a beautiful world for us to live in and explore! ❤️
