On December 13th Branson’s 6th grade class was able to go on a field trip to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving point. Bransons teacher needed some parent helpers to chaparone so I quickly talked it over with Adam and was able to volunteer! I always love these one on one chances I get to spend with my kids. And I love getting to see them with their friends in a learning environment. Its so fun for me.
Mrs. Peterson assigned me 3 other boys besides Branson to have in my group and we were able to have a lot of fun exploring the museum together. We started out by going to a class where we learned about sound, and then were set free into the rest of the museum to explore however we wanted.
The boys really seemed to love the jungle play area the most but did want to see the rest of the museum so we didn’t stay too long. Plus one of their classmates who had had open heart surgery recently actually passed out momentarily so they ended up calling in an ambulance for her.
I did end up having a couple times where a few of the boys ran off and I almost lost them, so we had a bit of a heart to heart at one point but for the most part it really was so much fun and we all had a great time!
