One of our favorite adventures we experienced while at Lake Powell was a place Luke recommended called Cliff Crack Canyon. Here you could get dropped off by boat, and then rock climb up to a cool slot canyon that took you behind a big crack in the rocks (see below). It was actually a super fun hike with lots of diversity and challenge. Not only did we have to rock climb up, but then there was also a place where you had to repel down, go underneath big rocks, and walk across a big shelf. I loved every minute of it, and so did the kids too! Such a fun little excursion!
See the big crack behind Brans! Thats where we went.
Adam and Tyler were so awesome to help all the kids from the boat to the rocks for the hike. Ady ended up deciding to stay in the boat after seeing some of the rocks she’d have to climb up. Smart girl.
Tyler is an amazing rock climber and led the group up most of the climbs and then would help everyone up once he made it.
Little arches!
Inside the crack! These three cousins had a blast!
This was where we all got to repel down the cliff. Some loved it and some not so much. There were a few that were super scared and a few tears were shed. Adam obviously loved it.

Adam took a little detour down to the water.
My favorite picture from the day. Most of our group on the rock shelf at the end of the hike.
Some of the littles braved the colder October water temperatures and jumped in. Some of them may or may not have screamed like little girls! 😉
Adam and Tyler also joined in the fun and did flips off the shelf into the water.
Such a fun day spent with family!
