The next morning we woke up to an absolutely beautiful day without a cloud in the sky and set off after breakfast to hike up to Twin and Shirley lakes. As we hiked we came across what we call the M tree which the kids teased stood for “Men.” So we of course had to get a picture of all the men with their tree!
Then we came across this tree that looked like a “W.” So I teased it was the “Woman” tree. I told Daws he wasn’t a woman and couldn’t get in the picture, but he didn’t listen! đ
We absolutely loved the views as we hiked!
Half way up to Twin and Shirley lakes there is a big Rocky meadow that we call Rocky Ridge. It has absolutely AMAZING views of the Wind Rivers mountains so we stopped here for some time to take pictures and have a little devotional about faith and moving mountains. Then we sang some church songs and enjoyed the beauty of God’s creations!
I think these views were some of my favorite during our whole trip!
Is it any wonder why I love this place so much?
I kept telling Adam he sure knows how to make a girl swoon and impress her!
The Winds is seriously just a magical place!
