The following morning we woke up and had cereal and green smoothies for breakfast and then packed up our vans for a fun day at Crater lake. Cam and Erin had driven 8.5 hours to go and see Crater Lake, so we wanted to make sure we saw as much as we could! We loved seeing volcanoes all over as we drove.
The drive up to Crater lake was really pretty as well.
We ended up getting separated at the visitors center when Adam and I followed Cam into the parking lot. We assumed they needed/wanted to stop so we parked and went in, but they actually had just taken a wrong turn and ended up turning around and heading further up the mountain. Whoops. So we ended up a little delayed. Oh well, it gave us a chance to use the bathrooms and get these awesome shots of the lake! Isn’t Crater Lake Amazing? I was jut baffled by its beauty and color!
Since we never did end up finding Cam and Erin at the vistors center we decided to just head up to our previously talked about destination. That of Cleetwood Clove Trail, where we hoped to hike a mile down to the water and then take a shuttle over to the lakes only island which just so happens to also be a volcano within the volcano’s crater. The drive as we went was pretty awesome!
.
We had to stop at one point for construction, so I snuck a few pictures of the kids and Adam!
And here we are at Cleetwood Clove Trail.
Love this cute shot of Cam and Grayson looking out over the water.
