The next hike we decided to do in Snow Canyon was to a place called Petrified Dunes. We originally just planned to do a short little jog to the dunes (which was only 5 minutes from the road) so that Nichole could come with us, but after hiking to the beginning of the dunes the kids were having so much fun that Nichole insisted we all hike to the top and give her some quiet time to herself! Ha ha. I mean how often does a Mom get a minute to just sit and relax in nature without a bazillion kids around? And we were worried about her getting lonely! She is such a great sport! Love that special lady! And the dunes were just awesome! So fun to climb up!
This was as far as Nichole made it before she opted to sit and take in the scenery!
Once we reached the top of the dunes we sat down for a rest and some snacks! Both Adam and Joey pulled out lots of yummy treats and the kids had a ball going from one Dad to the other begging food! ha ha!
Unfortunately poor Missy ended up biffing it as we hiked back down the mountain and got pretty scratched up. She was trying to run to the cars so that she could drive Nicholes car up to pick her up and ended up tripping and falling. We all felt so bad for her, but she too was a trooper and even went on one more hike after her little mishap. She’s just awesome like that.
