St Louis with Dave and Debbie

The last day of our American and church history tour couldn’t have been sweeter. We were able to go to church with Dave and Debbi in O’Fallon Missouri where they both played the organ and Dave bore the most heart warming testimony about getting to know us and the importance of families. ❤️

We then headed to the Saint Louis temple to walk the grounds, followed by a visit to a nearby cemetery where some of my ancestors on my Nanas side are buried.

The cemetery was one of the coolest and biggest I had ever seen and had a beautiful pond, and mausoleums all over which is something I’ve rarely if ever come across during my travels within the United States.

Afterwards we headed back to Dave and Debbi’s for a delicious BBQ dinner, and then joined their neighbors for a firework show in the cultasac. We finished the night with some apple pie, because what’s more American then that to celebrate the 4th of July?! 😂 It was yum! Dave and Debbi sure spoiled us!

It was then straight to bed as we had to get up at 3:30 for our flight home. Dave once again showed us the most amazing hospitality and kindness by following us to the airport where Adam dropped me and the kids off to check in, and then he and Dave drove to downtown Saint Louis to return our rental car. Then Dave drove Adam back to the airport. All at 3:30 in the morning. Incredible! 🥰

Undoubtedly we all agreed the best part of our month away was getting to know and spend time with Dave and Debbi. We learned more about Christ from watching those two love and serve then any other historical place we visited. What a blessing they are in our lives! We couldn’t feel more grateful to get to call them family! ❤️❤️❤️
