Branson’s Field Trip to the Bean Museum

On Tuesday, September 29th Branson’s 5th grade class went on a field trip to Thistle Canyon to see a landslide that wiped out the entire town. Afterwards they went to BYU where they eat lunch at the Wilkinson center and then headed over to the Bean Museum for a live presentation on different plants and animals.  Branson’s teacher Mrs. Sorenson was super nice and once again allowed me to bring Ady and Jamis so that I could attend with Branson, but we needed to come late since Adalynn had preschool until 11, and I had a visting teaching appointment.
We rushed over to Provo as soon as those two things were over, but realized we needed to grab some lunch since it was getting close to eating time.  We ended up deciding to go to Panda Express since Chinese was sounding pretty good.  I originally bought enough for Branson to share with us, but by the time we got to the Bean Museum he had already eaten, darn it all, so he wasn’t able to join us.

Then once at the museum, Branson’s class immediately went down to see the live animal presentation, while Adalynn and I used the restroom and explored the museum for a bit.

We then went down to where the live animal presentation was and sat with Branson.  Afterwards they allowed the kids some time to explore the museum, so we quickly went and saw as much of the museum as we could.

This was the biggest elevator Ady or I had ever been in!  It was HUGE!  Probably 15×20 feet.

We once again ended up needing to leave a little early so we could get home for naps, but we had a great time in the short 1.5 we were able to be with Brans.  I sure am grateful I get to do these fun things with my kids and support them in their school activities.  How wonderful it is to be a mother!
