Unfortunately just before we arrived at Glacier National Park a fire had started on the East side of the park which made it so that several roads were closed during our visit. This meant that we only got to go as far as Logan Pass on the “Going to the sun” road which was of course disappointing. However, we considered ourselves pretty lucky because the smoke could have been terrible and made all our views and pictures really smoggy looking, but instead we got a perfectly beautiful clear day even despite the smoke in the air. It was a tender mercy indeed.
