Beautiful Bear Lake

I’m going to apologize in advance for the picture overload, but I seriously am in LOVE with this lake! Oh my gorgeous color!!  I felt like I was back in the Caribbean! Every time we come to Bear Lake I am just amazed at its un-matched beauty. It is just so very lovely and fills me with joy each time I see it again.
I was especially overjoyed because the big rain storm that followed us all the way from Logan to Bear Lake had miraculously dissipated by the time we got there which meant that we got to enjoy a little time out on the lake!  Yay! It was still SUPER cold and windy due to the cold front that came in, but how can you complain when your views are so grand!? 🙂  I just love this place.
We ended up driving up to North Beach which surprisingly enough I’d never been to.  It not only was gorgeous, but pretty sparcely populated too and with a great beach to play on!  The kids absolutely loved it, and found a little “island” out from the shore a bit which they named “Harrison Island” since it was after all Harry’s birthday. 🙂

See the kids little island? 😉 And Adalynn was not too happy about being out in the cold!

Eks was kind enough to take several of the kids from the lake to the cars so they wouldn’t get sandy feet.  What a nice guy!

After our time at North beach- we had to say goodbye to our awesome Anderson friends for a few days as they were taking off to go and camp in Teton and Yellowstone while we had one more day at the cabin to spend and then another night in Dillon before we met up again. So we had a prayer together and parted ways.

Since we were already half way around the lake we decided to explore the lake some more by going the other direction home so that we could see the other half of the lake.  I was so glad we did because we found some great (more secluded and private) places to either camp, or picnic, or play at the next time we are up.  The East side is really quite nice.  We even stopped and explored a couple camp sites to see if maybe we want to do a reunion up there some time with the Egberts.

And once again the views were just breathtaking!

I think this is my new favorite beach. Super close to the city and almost completely deserted! And FREE!

I couldn’t help but stop even as we were leaving to go home for a couple more shots of the lake.  Oh I just love that color!

Sure was a wonderful way to spend a birthday!
