Back on July 17th Adam’s work had a big “Take your kids to work day” but unfortunately it was only for kids 6 years or older. Therefore Adalynn wasn’t allowed to go. đ However, my Mom and Dad were in town for the afternoon and needed to do some laundry (they’ve been staying at different RV parks all over Utah) and so my Mom asked if she could come and do her laundry at our house! Yay! We always love time with Nana! And since the boys were having a fun day at Adam’s work, we thought it only appropriate that we have a fun day just us girls as well (+ Jamis of course!)
We ended up deciding to go to lunch at Kneaders (which is a favorite of both my Mom and I) and I was finally able to properly celebrate Mothers Day with my Mom by buying her lunch (she was out of town for the real Mothers Day) then we took our salads, sandwiches, soup, and brownie up to the first park in Payson Canyon to escape the heat! It was such a beautiful day and I remember just feeling so happy and content being there with my Mom. She just always fills my life with such joy when she is around.
We ended up taking a nice walk around the park a little while later and then we headed back to my house after to do laundry and talk. Then my Dad came for dinner that night and I made Grilled Shrimp and veggies, along with a berry salad, and fruit. Yum! Sure was a wonderful day spent with my Mom! I am so blessed she is mine!
