Because of the scare of whooping cough in our area (our doctor here in Payson has seen 8 cases – all but one of which were babies under 6 months old) health care professionals are telling people with newborns to keep their babies home or away from crowds for 3 months! Holy Shnikees! However, as you can imagine staying home for that long of a time leads to some serious cabin fever, and so we’ve had to get a little creative with getting out and about.
One day Adam suggested we take a family drive up the canyon to Pete Winward Dam since it isn’t well known and fairly isolated and sure enough we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Only one other group of campers nearby. So we drove to the opposite side of the lake and had some family fun time skipping rocks and exploring! What a wonderful time we had and as usual being in the mountains just filled me right up! Oh how I do love nature! It was absolutely beautiful up there and we enjoyed the sunset as we walked around the lake. I sure do love this family of mine!
