Mysore Zoo – The Egberts are on Display!

After our fun carriage ride around the Mysore Palace, the driver of our carriage dropped us off at the Mysore zoo.  Naveen had told us wonderful things about this zoo so we were pretty excited, but the kids were over-tired and once again we had to cut our time at the zoo short when we had not just one child screaming uncontrollably but two!  Adalynn wanted to be held the entire time and if we refused she wailed and screamed and threw a fit, but we are trying to teach her that isn’t the right way to behave, so we didn’t give into her screaming and crying for no good reason.  So she was fun to deal with.  Then poor Dawson slipped in a puddle of water while trying to take a drink and ended of soaked which caused him to have an uncontrollable melt down as well!  Both of them were completely out of control at the same time, which meant that we were leaving the zoo immediately!  So we basically saw one of India’s best zoo’s in about an hour flat!

The other funny thing that kept us all laughing was just how popular our FAMILY was at the zoo.  We didn’t know that when we paid our rupees to get into the zoo that we were going to be the most popular exhibit! We literally had people stopping us every few minutes to get a picture of our family, of Adalynn, or of me by myself.  It was crazy!

We divided up into teams on this trip.  Adam took the “tantruming screamers” while I took the older boys so we could actually SEE a little of the zoo as we were leaving.  It worked out pretty well, but I had to snap this picture to remember these great family moments we keep having!  Too funny!
