Cavell Lake – Near Angel Glacier

After our hike to Angel Glacier we started heading back down the mountain but saw another short hike down to Cavell Lake which just looked gorgeous from the road.  So it was a no brainer to stop. Plus it was feeding time for Jamis again which meant bottle pumping time for me! Adam took the kids down to the lake while I stayed back to feed Jamis and then Jamis and I met up with everyone once we were finished. Sure glad we made the stop because this place was amazing!  LOVED it!

This picture was taken to remind us about how once upon a time one of our kids who shall not be named but who we lovingly refer to as Sazza sometimes needed to go to the bathroom in the wilderness when only DAD was around.  Dad had to teach said child how to “poop” in the wilderness, and said child didn’t do too good – which grossed out Super Hero Dad especially when Super Hero Dad realized he didn’t have toilet paper or wet wipes and had to help said child “wipe” with leaves – which didn’t turn out too good for Super Hero Dad and which required a vigorous washing of hands to free himself from unmentionables.  Super Hero Dad was mortified by the experience. Poor guy! So below the kids are pretending to “poop” in the wilderness to remind us of this most awkward experience. 🙂 Dads reaction was priceless!

Brans and Harry loved exploring the river upstream from the Lake since it involved climbing over large numbers of rocks!

A nice passer-byer was kind enough to take a family photo for us.

Some pictures from Adam’s phone as well.
