After exploring the Cave and Basin Site we headed back to our campsite at Tunnel Mountain to change into our swimsuits and put together a picnic dinner to take to Lake Minnewanka. The kids were over the moon excited about this excursion (they love anything water) so we tried to spend as much time at the lake as we could. Unfortunately the weather turned a bit cold and windy on us, which cut our adventure short, but we still had a great time! And oh what a beautiful lake! I was wishing we had one more day to spend here!
After letting the kids play in the sand and water for a bit (and after we eat our picnic) we took a hike along the waters edge and found this really cool rocky shore to play on. It was a paradise for the kids!
And you couldn’t beat the views!
We even got to see some wildlife on the way home!
A great end to a great day!
