Our last day in Quepos Costa Rica was a check out/move day which usually means I spend the morning doing laundry, packing bags, cleaning our airbnb, and figuring out the nitty gritty details of how to get to our next location, BUT my friend Becky had told me about a Mangrove Tour that was amazing, so I got up early and packed as much as I could, and then headed out for 2 hours to go and do the tour.
Only Harry opted to go see it with me so we had a little mother/son bonding time, but both of us LOVED the tour, and thought it was the PERFECT last excursion to end our trip on. The tour was 100% via boat, and took us through some beautiful still waters in the jungle where we saw 2 snakes, a crocodile, 7 turtles, 2 black squirrels, 6 bats, 3 different families of monkeys (one with a Mamma carrying her baby on her back), a sloth, and about a gazillion iguanas.
We both were able to hold and feed 3 or 4 different monkey’s, and then took a time lapse of our tour back through the mangroves, but I’ve come away with a deep love and appreciation for how diverse and visually stimulating Costa Rica is. It is a sublime buffet of the most amazing flowers, waterfalls, jungles, and wildlife. Its definitely a place I’d return to. God truly has created the most beautiful earth for us to enjoy! ❤️
From Quepos we drove back to San Jose, stayed one more night in an Airbnb, got COVID tested, and then headed to the airport! Such a wonderful 2 weeks in Costa Rica! 2 Thumbs up and 5 stars from the Egbert Family! 👍👍 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
