Bijarim Forest

The next stop on our list of to see places, was Bijarim Forest where there is an abundance of nutmeg trees (around 2800).  Unfortunately we had two kids having melt downs at this point (Brans and Ady) so we didn’t get to enjoy the forest as long as we hoped, but we still loved taking a short stroll through the forest and seeing the beautiful jungle and trees. Below are some pics we took along the way.

I can’t remember what this is on the tree, or why they put this cement looking stuff on the tree, but I think it might help save the tree if it becomes infested or gets a disease? I unfortunately am not remembering…

Taking a few minutes to meditate, and be silly!

In Korea the drinking fountains are a bit different.  They usually consist of something like this and little goblets or large spoon like things are left for people to drink out of.
