On our very last day in Korea, we only just had time to plan a lunch with an old classmate from Thunderbird, Cheon Doo Hyun. It was fun to see him again and compare notes on our jobs over the past 10 years! He is also in Tech and works for Microsoft. I informed him that I have a brother that works there as well in Redmond. He was so nice and treated us to a lunch of Songhak Jjimdak or Steamed Chicken and, of course, side dishes galore! It was very tasty and a nice way to end the trip. We also exchanged a few gifts. We gave him the plant you see in the picture below and he brought a Microsoft mouse and lanyard.
He was so generous (as we found almost all the Korean people to be). Thanks, Doo Hyun! So nice to reconnect!
After we said goodbye, we wanted to get one last dessert. We found some Pot Bing Su. This is like a snowcone covered with sweet beans. Sometimes it will also have nuts, fruit, or ice cream. What a fun treat!
