As we were leaving the crater and heading back down to meet up with our driver, we saw a little walkway, and decided to check out where it led. As we rounded the corner we were pleasantly surprised to find a beach area that was just as stunning as the crater was. So of course we had to go and take advantage of the cool refreshing water and beautiful views!
This was also an area where women divers go and find sea life to sell at the markets, so there were tons of empty sea shells all over where muscles and oysters had been removed. The kids loved playing with the sea shells and hearing the ocean in them.
This one was WAY past her nap time and had a bit of an attitude, but she’s even cute when she’s sassy!
And a few quick pictures of some of the souvenirs at the crater that were made out of lava rock. Pretty cool!
Then it was back to our taxi driver where our last stop of the day was to an Italian restaurant for dinner. I think the kids and I felt like we’d died and gone to heaven having pizza, calzones, and other items we all knew and loved. It was the perfect end to a perfect day!
