Day in Seogwipo

On day two of our time on Jeju Island our driver had recommend that we actually take a bus to the other side of the island and save ourselves time and money exploring the city of Seogwipo.  So after eating cereal with the kids in our room for breakfast, we walked over to the bus station to await our bus.
Unfortunately though when the bus finally arrived, it was completely full.  As in not a single person could fit on.  No seats at all available.  So we had to re-evaluate our options.  We could wait another 30 minutes for the next bus, but what if it too would was full?  So once again we opted to hail a taxi and have it take us to the other side of the island.  We were so glad we did, and in the end it really wasn’t that much more expensive!  Score!
Below are just a few pictures we took as we walked to the bus stop.  The first few are of a new business that was having a grand opening.  Apparently when new business open in Korea, the thing to do to welcome them – is for other businesses, family members, or friends to send big bouquets of flowers.  I thought it was a really kind tradition – but probably a very expensive one! We loved seeing all the flowers though!

And this street was our home for about 20 minutes while we waited for the bus.

In Korea, Ady started holding my hand by using both of her hands.  I thought it was so cute, I had to take a picture!

To keep the kids entertained we looked for 4 leaf clovers in the grass! 🙂
