Family Night at Seoraksan National Park

After our fun day at the beach and grabbing lunch in the city, we took the bus back to our hotel for a few hours of down time.  Ady and I were in desperate need of a good nap, and the boys wanted to explore the hotel a bit and play at the playground and so Adam went with them to do that.
For dinner Adam took Brans and Harry down to get some Korean food while Ady and Dawson and I were happy with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in our hotel room.  The night was still young though and it was technically family night so after our tummies were full we decided to head out once again for a family walk.  The Seoraksan National park was only 2 kilometers away so we started in that direction.  On the way we saw some beautiful sights!
I loved this little restroom out in the middle of no-where with its green mossy sidewalk.  So pretty!

The Seoraksan mountains!  Aren’t they amazing?

Check out that huge waterfall!

When we got to the park they told us we only had about 45 minutes before they closed, but the entry fee was only around $8 for all of us, so we just forked out the money and had a fun night exploring.  The sun was quickly going down though so we really had to be fast!  Most of the time we were either running, or walking fast to try to see as much as we could. 🙂
These picture ops are always a favorite with the kids.  But apparently here in Korea faces are more wide than long??? ha ha!

We had planned to hike up to a waterfall, but as we were heading up a Korean tourist told us that they had closed the trail, so we took another little shorter trail that led us to this place.  It basically was just a nice spot next to the river for people to meditate.  So we made sure to do a little meditation before we left! Love this family!

On the way back from our trail we found that you could actually take a short cut through the river back to the main area of the park!  We just couldn’t resist!

Then we had fun exploring some of the bridges and statues around the park.

They had these wishing well areas IN the river where you could throw money in.  The kids thought this was pretty cool!

We had fun trying to imitate Buddha!

Sure was a fun family night in Seoraksan!
