One of the coolest things about being in Korea is the open air markets. Vendors just lined up on the street selling their wares. Sometimes they have a store behind them as well, but not always. It was great for the kids to see that not everyone goes to the supermarket to buy their necessities.
How do you like your Kimchee?
Snapping Turtles. Not sure if this was a pet shop or a grocery store…
Sundry snacks! Mostly popped rice in one form or another.

More Kimchee?
The Noodle Maker! (or Noodler?)
“Yes, dear, those are pigs.”
Everything is better with Bacon!

Little porkers!
I have to tell an old mission story here. One day, we were leaving the house like any other day and we found one of these pig’s heads on our front porch! We were pretty baffled! But we decided to have a good time with it and took some crazy pictures. I came to find out later that it was delivered to us by a missionary who didn’t pay much mind to the area boundaries and was upset at me. I smiled to think that the prank had the opposite effect!
Mmmmmmm! Ddeok!
