After our big hike up to Bukhansan Peak we were all famished and wanting some real food so we took a taxi back into town and then began our search for something to eat. We passed some cool things on the way like these neat flowers, and some black eggs! Crazy!
And after looking in almost every shop on the street we finally settled on one that seemed pretty busy (usually meaning people like their food) but that was also one of the cheaper places, and when I say cheap I mean that it was only $30 a plate instead of $40! Yikes! But the good news is that with every meal you get oodles of side dishes and usually the main dish you order is HUGE and can feed 3-4 people. Here is a look at some of the side dishes that came with our Seafood soup, and Beef Bulgogi.
Kimchee Onions
Small dried fish
Kimchee asparagus
Kimchee spinach leaves? Not sure what this one is. Some kind of leafy vegetable.
And our seafood soup with oysters (with the shells still on them).
Luckily Adam also ordered us this big pot of beef bulgogi and noodles. Otherwise the kids and I might have starved! Sometimes the side dishes are awesome and other times…not so much. This particular day was a not so much kind of day -but at least the bulgogi was good! đ
But I think if I remember right the kids and I requested American food for tomorrow’s dinner! đ ha!
