Day 5 in French Polynesia took us to the island of Taha’a, but it once again poured heavy rain on our parade. Adam and I had hoped to go to the island and rent a car and then go do what’s called a drift snorkel where the tide takes you along the reefs, but once again all tours were canceled due to the weather. 😜

That was ok because we spent the morning making friends with a newlywed couple from Texas, Cedric & Brandy, and then later when the rain stopped briefly the 4 of us headed over to the ship’s private island for some snorkeling! It was awesome to finally be able to get in the water and see some fish, even if it was still cloudy.
We were supposed to do a big island feast on the private island that night, but the rain only stopped briefly and then came down in buckets that evening so they moved the feast back to the boat. The staff seriously were our super heroes having to move everything twice. But another amazing day In paradise, despite the rain! 😂❤️
