Page Arizona & Kens Tours

The next day we woke up early, had breakfast at the hotel, and then packed up and headed out to drive across the border to Page, Arizona. I had booked us a lower Antelope Canyon tour at Kens Tours which we all were super stoked about. Antelope Canyon has been on my bucket list for quite some time now, so I was giddy and excited! We could tell it was going to be an awesome place too, when we arrived at the location only to discover that there was a HUGE long line of cars waiting to get in. It was more crowded than Disneyland! Luckily they tell people to come 30 minutes early which I’m sure is because it takes you that long just to get from the road to the building! It was insane! But we eventually made our way down and got in line for our tour.
We ended up having a really great tour guide (whose name I forget) who immediately took us down to the canyon. However, because of the crowds we ended up needing to wait about 15 minutes for our groups turn to go down. This ended up being a really good thing though, because while we were standing waiting, I realized I had LEFT our backpack with all our snacks and drinks in it, back in the waiting area! Doh! So I ended up having to run back to the tour station where luckily a kind tourist had already turned in my bag! Whew! But then I needed to book it back to where our tour was. As I was leaving the building though, I got stopped by some of the other tour guides (who probably thought I was trying to sneak in), but after explaining to them about my back pack and that my husband and 5 kids were down waiting to go through the tour, they ended up DRIVING me down in their jeep which was so heaven sent seeing that it was a 102 degree day! Thank you tour guides! I was mucho impressed. And luckily I hadn’t missed anything in the 10 minutes I was gone. Adam and the kids were still there waiting with our group.

Here you can see the line of people in front of us that we were waiting to go down.

This was the entrance to the canyon.

And finally its our turn! Here Adam is with the kids going down the stairs into the canyon.

Next up…pictures of the inside of Antelope Canyon!
