Boston, Massachusetts Duck Tours

The next stop on our tour back East took us to Boston Massachusetts which meant we got to drive through 5 states in one day. New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

It was about a 5 hour drive and I think we must of all been exhausted because we were all super cranky! 😂🤪 Too many late nights will do that to you. But most of our car ride was full of complaining, fighting, arguing, and bugging each other, and even Adam and I were short with each other and at odds. Not everyday is rainbows and unicorns on trips especially when you are stuck in a car all day with each other and not sleeping well! 🤪😂 Thankfully those days are more rare, but do happen.

We got into Boston around 4:30 but we’re all so tired we just checked into our hotel and watched TV or took naps. We then headed to dinner and tried out an Italian place that was very authentic. Then back to the hotel to veg. Ady and Adam did go swimming at the hotel pool, but then we all got to bed early due to an early start the next day.

Our next day Adam booked us a Duck Tour which was really different then I expected. It sounds like you are going around bird watching or checking out ducks but you actually drive around in a vehicle that is half open bus and half boat and you get to see Boston both on land and sea. It was awesome!

Most of my pictures are from that tour. The kids and Adam also got to drive the duck once we got into the water too! We then went to bunker hill where they had a bunch of fun games out for families to play!

We had some down time after that where some of us went back to the hotel to rest and took 2 hour naps, while others drove to Concord to see where the first battle of the revolutionary war happened.

Then later we visited North church, Copps hill, Paul Reveres house and statue, and then toured the USS Constitution – which was like a pirate ship, and the USS Cassin Young, which was a navy destroyer. Both very interesting.

We then went to Quincy market where we got some Boston clam chowder in a bread bowl, corn chowder, and chicken pot pie, with 6 different flavors of gelato for dessert! Such a great day getting to know more about Boston and it’s rich history.
