This last week was an unbelievably good one! Not only did I get to accompany my totally hot husband on a business trip out to Boston Massachusetts, but my wonderful sister insisted on taking the two boys for me while we were gone claiming she was bored silly during the day now that her kids are in school and that I’d be doing her a favor! (Aren’t big sisters GREAT?) So Adam and I had another marvelous week with just the two of us, and it was MARVELOUS! I’ve decided business trips are the way to go as we got EVERYTHING paid for by Novell! From our awesome 5 star hotel room, to our rental car, to parking fees, to all of our meals (we split everything). So we basically got a free vacation! Of course Adam had to work for 8+ hours a day at the office and was in trainings most of the day, but it worked out well since I’m doubled up on classes and have so much homework to do. Then every evening we would take off to see the neighboring sites and cities, and go out to eat somewhere fun. It really was a wonderful trip, and one where I truly got to relax, feel pampered, and spend time with my amazing husband. Ad and I kept saying over and over how it felt like the days when we were first married when we could just take off every night and do whatever we wanted. It made us miss those fancy free days, but at the same time, the week away left us realizing how wonderful it is to have our own little family. We sure missed our two little fella’s! Here are some pictures of some of our Boston adventures.
Another day I got to join Adam with his Novell Team for a Thai lunch. Here we are with his Manager Brandon and co-workers Arlene, Elaine, Lee, Jessica, Ben, & Tony.
That night Adam took me to one of the best Seafood places I have ever been called the Naked Fish (Love the name!) We ordered Boston Clam Chowder, a coconut shrimp appetizer, and then split a swordfish entree. Unfortunately though, right as our meal came I remembered something I had read recently about swordfish being high in murcury and not good for pregnant women. Adam looked it up on his blackberry and sure enough, it was one of the fish on the the off limits for pregnant women list. So needless to say, Adam got to enjoy most of that meal by himself. We both agreed though that the clam chowder was the best we had ever had. And for dessert we thought it fitting to order Boston Cream Pie, since we were afterall in Boston. đ
On another night Adam was so sweet and made reservations at an amazing Italian place called Limoncello, where he took me and his co-worker Arlene and her husband out for an appreciation dinner. He wanted to thank Arlene (the girl who works for him) for all her hard work, as well as Dan (Arlenes husband) and I for being supportive spouses. We went out to Little Italy on the North end of Boston and enjoyed walking around looking at Paul Reveres house, and the Old North Church. Dinner was of course amazing. We got meatballs and some asparagus dip dish that were super yummy, and then we each tried a different entree and then shared with one another. We had everything from lobster/crab/cheese raviolis, to a chicken marsala dish, to a fresh fish in italian sauce, to squid ink fettucini with lobster. All the dishes were exquisite, but even more than the food we really enjoyed our company. Arlene and her husband were so fun to be around and we ended up chatting in the restaurant for hours.

Another day Adam was able to sneak away from work and took me out for lunch at a great Pizza place called “Upper Crust” where we split a BBQ chicken pizza. On the way there we saw this really cool old rock church and had to take a picture.
One of my favorite nights was the first night Adam and I were together in Boston. Adam took me out to dinner at a place called “Red Bones BBQ” which was totally ghetto but had GREAT food! We ordered a salad, and Baby Back Ribs, with cornbread, and then laughed when they brought out our drinks and they were in canning jars. It was a super fun place though and the ribs were tasty tasty! Afterwards Adam surprised me though and bless his wonderful heart had reseached on the internet and found a good wholesome place to take me out dancing! Can you believe this man? Adam knows that dancing is by far one of my most favoritist things to do, but that I would most likely feel uncomfortable going to club with smoking and drinking, so he looked online and found a catholic church that was holding a lindy hop dance that night! It seriously was a total blast. Neither Ad nor I knew what we were doing, (with regards to the Lindy Hop) but we sure did have a good time trying and spent most of the night laughing at our moves (or lack thereof is more like it!) It was seriouosly so thoughtful though and made me feel so very loved. Thank you babe for such a wonderful night just for me! đ
