The next leg of our trip took us to Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City, and O’Fallon Missouri.
We took off from Branson around 1pm and then went and got Indian food for lunch before making the 2 hour drive to Lake if the Ozarks.
We arrived around 4 and were thrilled when we checked into our condo to discover how roomy and big it was and that it was right on the lake! It was pure heaven.
We all immediately got in our swim suits and headed to the lake to cool off! It was hot! 🥵 We we’re shocked when we jumped in that the water was so warm! Even I got in, the water was that nice. 😂
Later we went to the pool and then had grilled shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, salad and pineapple for dinner with ice cream for dessert. Yum!
The next day we checked out of our condo and then drove an hour in a rainstorm to meet up with our awesome Utah friends the Johnsons who just happened to be vacationing in Jefferson City. It was so fun to meet their extended family and spend the afternoon catching up.
We then drove to O’Fallon Missouri where Adam had set up a fun “Relative Race”challenge.
Adam gave the kids an electronic map (since gas stations no longer sell paper maps) and they had to direct me where to drive to certain things within O’Fallon.
We had to find a sign within the city limits of O’Fallon and take a selfie, go find the location of our challenge, which was a car wash where we had 20 minutes to pull everything out of our van and vacuum it. Then we were given the address to our relatives house which was Dave and Debbi’s home and take a selfie with them.
Adam then set up another challenge for us where we had to blow up balloons and throw darts to pop them all. It was so fun, but we did go 10 minutes over our allotted time and receive our first strike. 😂
We then spent the rest of the evening playing apples to apples, telling funny stories, and throwing fuzzy “snow balls” at each other! It was hilarious! Such a great last few days of our trip! ❤️
