Once we got to the end of Wheeler Peak Road, it was near sunset, so we knew our time to explore more of the park was limited. We ended up opting to just do a short little Nature hike where we got to learn about the rocks and trees in the area. The kid actually really loved this hike and had fun climbing all over rocks, and fallen trees. We saw some neat things as we hiked.
We LOVED the color of the Peaks at Sunset!
Three fallen Trees form a Triangle!
Break time to eat some homemade apricot fruit leather!
That is a nice boulder! And check out those designs and colors! So cool!
Dawson is usually my kid who HATES having his picture taken, so I took advantage of the fact that he kept wanting pictures of himself!
On our hike we saw this really unusual “growth” on this tree. Anyone know what it is?
We sure had a great first night at Great Basin National Park!
