Day 2 of our trip back East took us to New River Gorge, West Virginia where we hiked to some look out points to see a bridge, and then went on another hike to “the Endless wall.”
Because of Adys sprained ankle we had to take things a little easier and go slower, but no one complained too much about taking more breaks! Especially me! 😂
From there we drove 3.5 hours up to Shenandoah National park and did a tour via car, but unfortunately it rained most of the time which made the lookout points a little anticlimactic. 🤪
We did end up doing a short hike to Dark Hollow Falls, but Adam told us it was only a .01 hike, when in reality it was a 1.4 mile hike so some of us turned around after about half a mile in since it was so wet and muddy, but Adam and Dawson and Harry went the whole way and got pics for the rest of us.
We then headed to our hotel at the Holiday Inn Express in Charlottesville, Virginia where we immediately went swimming at the pool before putting kids to bed. So grateful for fun memories made with my awesome family! ❤️
