Lincoln City and the Corner Cafe

After Depoe Bay we started looking for a place to stop for bathroom breaks and lunch but several of the kids were asleep so we thought it best to drive a bit longer before stopping. However, as we drove we kept seeing these interesting beaches that seemed to be covered in drift wood. I thought it was so interesting I couldn’t help but pull over for a few pictures.

We continued down the 101 until we ended up in Lincoln City where we decided to stop at the Corner Cafe for lunch. It ended up being the perfect place to eat because there was no wait and the food was AWESOME! We loved every bite of it! Adam got a super expensive (at least to us) smoked salmon salad that was $17 (but HUGE), and then I got grilled halibut and fries. When the plate came out I expected one small piece of halibut like what they give you in Utah, but my plate was loaded with it! So good! We also got a bowl of Clam chowder to share which was probably the best clam chowder we’d all ever had! The kids devoured it! Especially Jamis. Brans and Harry ended up ordering corn dogs for their lunch while Ady ordered Mac and Cheese and Daws got pancakes! We were all very happy with our choices!

It doesn’t look that massive in this picture, but Adam’s salad was HUGE! And there was no scrimping on the salmon. His salad was just covered in huge chunks of the stuff!

Dawson loved that his pancake came in the shape of a face with berries for the eyes, mouth, and nose.

And here is my grilled halibut plate. Delicious!

Here is Dawson with what he thought was a small ice cream cone! Poor kid was so disappointed when he discovered it was butter!
