The next stop on our to do list for the Vegas Strip was to go and see the Atlantis show at Caesars Palace. However, this place is HUGE and we ended up having no clue which building to look in so we did a lot of walking and back tracking. We also had a big scare too when Brans started crossing the cross walk at the hotel and a car that wasn’t paying attention and going way too fast almost hit Branson. Luckily the guy heard me screaming and waving or saw Brans at the last minute and slammed on his breaks. But the car came within inches of hitting Branson. Talk about giving a mother a heart attack! I was just so so so grateful the car had seen Brans and stopped. I just couldn’t go there in my head what might of happened had he not paid attention that last second. Too scary to think about.
We eventually did get some help finding which building to go in to see the Atlantis show which once again took us through a huge mall. And boy did we have to walk a ways to finally get to the show. It literally took us like 45 minutes to an hour to walk from the Flamingo hotel to the Atlantis show. Crazy! We were sure excited when we finally got there though and only had a 10 minute wait until it started.
We got super good seats to the show right up front and then waited the 10 minutes for the show to start. But that 10 minutes turned into 20 and still no show. It ended up that they CANCELLED the show because someone hit the fire alarm. What? So our hour walk and 10 minute wait were all for naught. Mumsie and I were so frustrated at that point (and tired) that we just decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel and watch the show online. Caesars Palace sure is a pretty place though! I loved walking through the grounds and mall and seeing all the Greek statues and architecture.
They also had a 50 gallon aquarium that the kids enjoyed looking at. Jamis especially loved seeing all the fish and even had a fish that would follow him around a bit. It was so cute and funny!
