After our disappointment at Caesars Palace not getting to see the Atlantis show, we decided to head back to our hotel. We had originally planned to walk but decided to instead take our chances catching the Wyndman shuttle back. We totally lucked out and had the shuttle pull up just as we arrived! Saweet! We then went back to the hotel for some much needed naps and down time.
However, later that evening we thought it would be fun to go and take the kids to a Las Vegas buffet. We had originally hoped to have Adam join us, but his meetings were all going late so he told us to go ahead without him. I ended up finding a cheap buffet at the Palace Station hotel where we could all get dinner for $8.99! Nice! The other dinner buffets were all between $16-50 per plate. And with 7 of us to feed, we had to go on the cheap!
The kids loved getting to see more of the Vegas strip as we headed out though and then later that night we cruised the strip twice to let them see all the neat buildings. Below are some of the pictures we got during our fun night.
New York, New York Hotel
MGM Grand if I remember right.
The Excalibur Hotel
Our awesome buffet dinner. The kids absolutely LOVED it and I think Jamis may have out eaten all of us! He was covered in food by the end since I hadn’t thought to bring a bib and we had to strip him down to a diaper. ha ha! The kids all loved that they could get pizza, and fries, and chinese food, and all the desserts and drinks they wanted.
Dawsons plate was filled up with spring rolls and watermelon where Branson preferred chocolate pudding, canned peaches, mac and cheese, and potato wedges.
Harry on the other hand got roast beef, shrimp, and some other meats. That’s my boy!
I too love the meats and enjoyed getting the turkey breast, roast beef, BBQ pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and salad to go with it. Yum!
We had to laugh because when we tried finding the buffet in the hotel, we got directions from a worker whose directions took us all over the hotel and through the casino to get to the buffet, but when we went to leave after dinner we discovered that there was a door right out to the street from the buffet and directly in front of the parking garage where we had parked. Doh! Why the heck didn’t the Palace station worker just tell us to walk back outside and to the next set of doors? His directions literally took us 10-15 minutes to walk through the place and still required us stopping and asking two other people to get there. Oh well! Its all for the story, right?
After our yummy meal at the Palace station we headed back into town and cruised down the strip a few times so the kids could see it at night. They thought it was the coolest thing ever! They especially loved seeing the M&M Store. 🙂
Then once we got back to the Wyndam Hotel the kids begged Grandma and I to take them night swimming but we were both so tired that we just weren’t up to doing one more excursion that night. But those kids were determined and so the second Adam walked in the door they were all over him. He told them to give him some time to unwind, but 30 minutes later they had convinced him to take them swimming. He’s such a great Daddy and I love how he loves making memories with the kids!
