The canyon has been calling to me lately. I think it’s because I feel so close to God when I am there, and filled by his creations. No matter what is happening in my life, time in nature is immediately soothing to my soul. ❤️
Today I drove the Alpine loop just me and my little girl. We talked about life, school, her joys and struggles and times she’s felt the spirit in her life. We just enjoyed being together. She too marveled at the beauty we saw as we drove, and both of us were glad we’d made the effort to go up.
Driving the loop always makes me think of my childhood and adolescence and the many many memories made there with friends and family. I couldn’t help but feel gratitude to my parents for helping me learn to love nature. The mountains truly feel like home to me and AF canyon specifically like my childhood backyard.
So grateful for such a beautiful day in one of my most favorite places! ❤️
