Capitol Reef National Park

After about 3 hours of driving, we were finally able to make our way to Capitol Reef National Park. Although, I’m sure I’ve been here before, I honestly remembered nothing about it and so it was like coming for the first time. And I do have to say that I really did love it. It reminded me so much of the Wedge where my family has been camping for years, but as far as I could tell, there was very few places they’d let you camp so I don’t think we will be changing our tradition anytime soon. Still, it was really a beautiful place and we had fun doing the small amount of exploring that we did.
The kids were pretty burnt out seeing National parks by this point and so we didn’t really do much except drive through. Adam and I did get out for the occasional picture and short little hikes to see some cool places, but for the most part, all of the park was seen via car. We will have to come back here again someday to do some hikes. From the looks of the map, there are some amazing places we didn’t get to see.

Chimney Rock

I think this one was “Castle on a Hill” or something like that.

Petroglyphs!
