The next morning Adam and I along with Cam and Erin were in charge of Breakfast and since we were using Deans camp stove, and we had all the food in our ice chests, we figured we’d just make thing easy and have everyone eat over where we were both camped. This ended up working well because we were able to move our picnic table over to where Dean and Janets picnic table was and sit more people. It also worked out well because we both had trailers full of needed supplies like spatulas, wire whisks, pans, and other useful items for cooking.
Chris had been in charge of planning this years reunion and assigned us all a meal to prepare for everyone. We ended up being assigned breakfast burritos which was actually more difficult than it sounds when you end up considering that there were 48 people to feed! Adam and I did as much prep work as possible beforehand though and had the genius idea to crack 150 eggs into big ziplock bags and then whip them up in our blender so that all we had to do was poor the egg mixture into pans to cook it up into scrambled eggs. It worked wonderfully! Cam and Erin also brought all the condiments and some fruit to go with our meal and then helped by taking cooked food to the tables when it was done, and letting us know when we were getting low on food. Adam and I just stayed by the grill cooking sausage, bacon, tortillas, eggs, and hashbrowns as fast as we could.
We all had to laugh too because Adam ended up doing the grocery shopping for the trip while I packed and to save money he bought some “bits and pieces” of bacon instead of strips of bacon which was just loaded with fat! As in there were pieces that were JUST fat and an inch thick and 4 inches long! So gross! But he just burnt everything to a crisp and it somehow all got eaten! ha ha. We way overestimated though and ended up with so much leftover food! I guess 88 tortillas, 160 egs, 10 lbs of sausage, 4 packages of hash browns, and 6 lbs of bacon was a little too much!
Jackson was so cute with Jamis who loved feeding himself breakfast from other peoples plates!

A funny/not funny story about Steve. As we were all packing up to head out on Sunday, Steve could not find his cell phone anywhere. Luckily Marcie has the “find my friends” app on her phone and could see that Steves phone was somewhere near Dean and Janet and our trailer. So the kids and all of us adults spent a great deal of time looking for the phone without any luck. The kids and Janet had a prayer that they would find it, but still the phone came up missing. Marcie ended up walking around a trailer across the street from ours and her app was indicating that the phone was actually in our neighbors trailer. We couldn’t imagine that they had stolen it as nothing else from our camp sites were missing and just assumed that maybe it had fallen out of Steves pocket and they had found it on the street and just not turned it into the lost and found yet, but they weren’t home to ask and so Steve and Marcie ended up waiting for our neighbors to return to their trailer. They also had each trailer drive around the block a few times to see if the phone “moved” at all. But the phone didn’t move when Dean and Janet packed up and drove around, nor did it move when we did. So we knew it was still in the area.
We ended up checking out and leaving the park to head out to church since there wasn’t much more we could do to locate the phone but later got a text saying that they’d talked to the neighbors and they didn’t have the phone and so Steve and Marcie kept looking and actually found the phone in their car! It had somehow fallen out of Steves pocket and was in between the seats and console. We were all just so glad it had been found! But poor Steve and Marcie! So not a fun way to end a trip!
