Wednesday evening after spending the day in Bryce, we headed back to Panquitch where we ordered a gigantic cheese pizza and then headed to a motel that we had booked for the night. We were all so tuckered out that all we wanted to do was watch movies and go to bed early!
The next morning we headed back into Bryce Canyon where I finally got to fulfill one of my bucket list items of actually hiking DOWN into Bryce canyon and seeing it from the bottom! Holy awesome! I loved it! Bryce Canyon is absolutely spectacular from the top, but its like walking into another world when you go into the bottom and is so diverse and beautiful. I loved every minute of it! Here we are about to descend down into the canyon. All smiles now!
These next pictures were what we got to see while we hiked down.
Here Adam was explaining to the kids about different kinds of rocks and how the hoodoo’s are made over millions of years of wind and water.
Pretty dang amazing!
The bottom of the canyon was so green and had lots of vegetation which actually surprised me a little, but I loved the contrast.
The hike was actually pretty steep so we had to take a lot of breaks for the kids. Especially Ady! This was the perfect resting spot under a huge rock!
This is what exhausted kids look like. No smiles now – except on me who was loving every minute! 🙂
