Hiking to the “P” Mountain

One of the things Adam and I have really enjoyed since he retired from Adobe to start his own business is taking walks together during the day or going on hikes. There is something so awesome about being able to make your own schedule and having the time freedom to work on your own dreams. ❤️

This particular day we decided to hike to the P mountain, which only took us an hour round trip, and provided us several opportunities to stop and “smell the lilac bushes” (since roses haven’t quite bloomed yet). 😂 There was something so healing about being outside surrounded by snow capped mountains, and fields of wild flowers!

It made me think of the scripture in D&C 59 that says “Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart; Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul.”

I’m so grateful for moments I’m able to step away from the busyness of life with my sweetheart and fill my soul through nature and time spent with God, while simultaneously strengthening my body. ❤️ Truly we are blessed to live in such a beautiful world.
