One day, the week after Thanksgiving, we were lucky enough to spend the day with Cam & Erin and Mumsie and Smurf. We decided to take the kids to Chucky Cheese Pizza for lunch. The kids had a blast playing all the games and getting on all the little rides. They were so excited when they won tickets and almost had more fun taking the newly won tickets to Grandma then they did playing the games! They were so proud. đ Afterwards they got to pick out little toys or treats with their tickets. We still had some time left in our day, so we decided to stop by the BYU Natural Science museum where the kids could see the dinosaur fossils. They loved it, and had a great time running around looking at all the “scary dinosaurs!” We went up to Mum and Smurfs after the museum for dinner and then spent the rest of the night playing domino’s, shapes and colors with the kids, and imagine if. It was great to spend time with those we love.
A few days later we had our ward Christmas party! We went to the church and pretended like we were living in the time of Christs birth. We were given fake money and allowed to go to the market to buy food (dinner). They had chicken, rolls, flat bread, fruit, salad, and lots of yummy desserts. Then we all sat on blankets to eat our food. Later they had a wonderful Christmas program where we listened to a beautiful arrangement of Christmas songs played by a few of our ward guitarists. Then they told the story of Christ’s birth and had different members of the ward acting it out. It was a great night. Here are a few pics from the evening.
Later that week we had our Jurashic Eggs dinner/game night Christmas party. It was our turn to host and organize the event so we decided to try something a little different. We drew names out of a hat and randomly selected characters and costume suggestions for each person coming. Then we had everyone dress up and meet us at Sam Hawkes where Adam ordered Korean food for us all and we eat family style. It was really fun and really yummy. Then we came back to our house and played the game, “How to Host a Murder, The last Train from Paris.” It was really fun and everyone did a great job getting into their characters.
This last week, we have been trying to focus on getting our Family Christmas cards done and neighbor gifts delivered. We searched through our plethora of digital pics, but the only one we could find that even sort of looked nice was the few Smurf (Adam’s Dad) took for us at Harrison’s blessing. However, we didn’t have a single picture that we liked of both the boys. So we dressed them both up in red, sat them on the bench Branson got for his birthday and took a few quick pics to put on our card. We wanted to get them ordered onine ASAP as we knew that we wouldn’t get them in time and sent out if we waited too much longer. However, that got us thinking that we really don’t have a good family picture and that we really should get some taken. So that Sunday when we went up to Adam’s parents for dinner, we asked Smurf to take a few shots of us. It was an absolutely beautiful day as it had just snowed and all the trees were covered in snow so we took most of our shots outside. It was hard getting both boys to look forward and then to smile, so we had to take oodles of pictures, but we were able to get a few good shots. Here are a few of our favorites.
Thanks for the Christmas letter. Cute pictures!
Hey Sarah, It’s been a long time! I loved and appreciated your Christmas letter, it is great to see that everything is going so well for you and your family. Are you still living in Provo? It looks like you survived being the RS President, and from friends I know you did a great job. Thanks for keeping in touch, your kids are beautiful and I enjoyed all your pictures. Take care and Happy Holidays!
