Last Day on the Boat, Drive through Moki Canyon, and Beautiful Sunset

Our last day on the houseboat landed on a Sunday and was pack up and go day, but we all weren’t quite ready to go yet so we just took things easy that morning and relaxed. Luke put in a movie for the kids during breakfast which most of us ended up watching, but some still preferred playing in the water until it was time to go. Then after the movie we got going on moving the houseboat, packing things up, and cleaning.

Liesa found this cute apron on the houseboat (must be the other owners) so Luke tried it on! He looked super cute!

Adam even took a turn with the apron the night before while helping cook up some veggies for our yummy Teriyaki dinner.

Then once we got the houseboat moved and cleaned a few of us wanted to take one last ride in the boat and drive up Moki Canyon. I of course can never turn down a chance to cruise around the beautiful canyons of Lake Powell so I was happy to join the boat crew and take a few more pictures of one of my favorite places. Oh how I love this lake!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. So after our fun drive it was time to pack up and head out – which is no easy process when you have 23 people and all of their luggage. But we were able to get everything unloaded by 4 and so we could take off around 5pm and make it home by 9pm. We saw another gorgeous sunset as we drove home, and some other beautiful sights! What a gorgeous world we live in!
