Last year Luke and Liesa bought an older used houseboat and ended up using the heck out of that thing coming to Lake Powell over 30 times! Wow! This year they have only been to Powell about 13 times, but to call them Lake Powell experts would be an understatement! These guys have explored pretty much every nook and cranny of this lake. And they were kind enough to show us some of their favorite places.
For lunch we stopped at a place Luke and Liesa had camped for a night that had a small waterfall. It had a great trail with lots of different ponds with frogs in them, but unfortunately for us the ponds were all dried up and the frogs gone, darn it all. We still had fun stopping for lunch here and Adam and the kids swam, did some rock climbing, and jumped off rocks.

After lunch we continued through some more canyons until we came to a place that you could park your boat and get out and walk.
The kids took a little cat nap while we traveled.
There were several other boats that apparently knew about this cool place too.
