Another place we have to give a shout out too was the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Charlottesville, VA.
As you can imagine traveling with a large family can be challenging and expensive especially when you have to get two hotel rooms, and will only be at the hotel a few hours to get some shut eye before your next adventure. The Holiday Inn Express was one of the first places we’ve stayed that actually could accommodate our large family into one single room, saving us so much money. I seriously could kiss them! They not only had 2 comfy queen beds, but a couch bed that also slept two! And even a bench you could put another small child with the couch cushions. Thank you whoever was the genius person to start making rooms to fit big families!
The grounds were really nice too and they had a pool and hot tub (that we had all to ourselves) with pool towels handy, and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic! Like seriously amazing! We aren’t super picky people mind you, but Adam said it was one of the best hotel breakfasts hes ever had, and he’s traveled a lot!
The breakfast had fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hot pancakes, yogurt, and all the normal things you’d find in a complimentary breakfast as well. They also had a pretty nice weight room with treadmills for those who like to work out. We didn’t end up getting to use that facility as we had to get on the road pretty early, but it looked pretty nice! But a huge shout out to Holiday Inn for not only their budget friendly rooms for large families, but for their awesome breakfast spread the next morning! We thank you!
