After the Larco museum in Lima we went to Kennedy park, saw a few Peruvian Cathedrals, and bought a few more souvenirs. We then explored the boardwalk in Miraflores which is known for its surfing. We had fun watching the surfers for awhile and throwing rocks in the ocean and then decided to go up to “kissing park” which had a big statue and people walking around singing love songs and selling flowers. Adam bought us all Peruvian crepes (so good), and then we let the kids play tag while we waited for an uber to take us home.
Our wait ended up being MUCH longer than expected, when not 1, not 2, but 3, ubers accepted our reservation and then cancelled on us after waiting 10-20 minutes for each. our expected 10-12 minute wait for an uber ended up being over an hour. But apparently the 4th time is the charm and we eventually got a ride home! We thanked the uber driver profusely, which I’m sure made him think we were all a little coo coo, but after an hour of waiting we started to wonder if we’d ever make it home. 😂 But we loved day 2 in Peru!
