Birds Paradise and Flight Home to India

The last night of our time in Thailand we had to move from our sweet posh house to another down the road because the owner messed up the reservation and overbooked. It all worked out nicely though as this place was really fun too.  It’s just moving that is a pain.  We got a free tuk tuk ride over to the new place which was called the “Birds paradise” and once we arrived we could see why!  It was in a gorgeous location! Surrounded by jungle and in a pretty isolated location.  We loved it!  It was also very roomy, very clean, and the owners were so nice!  I didn’t think to take pictures when we first arrived but did get some right as we were leaving.  Enjoy!

It was a 3 bedroom home and each room came with a King sized bed! Saweet! 🙂

The kids loved that it had a yard to play in!

Because we had rented a car from the airport and because it was already a pretty tight fit with JUST the 7 of us in it (sans luggage), we decided just to take two trips to the airport to get us all there.  Jessica had an earlier flight, so Adam was going to take her with her luggage and then come back and get us.

The wonderful owner of the house actually came to our rescue though and offered to take our luggage to the airport for us since she was going there anyway to pick up her husband.  We were so grateful to her help and instead of dropping Jess off and coming back for us, we all went to drop Jess off and then went and explored a little bit more around the area.  It was pouring rain so we didn’t see much, but Adam had the kids giggling like crazy by driving through big puddles and making big splashes!  They loved it!  The people or cars getting splashed though…not so much! Whoops! Adam never saw them in time and got a few of the good!

Then it was off to the airport for our late flight back to Bangkok and then home to India.  This time our flight was a little more manageable though as we left at around 7 and got in around 1 am, and then home by 2.  But boy were we all exhausted.  Below is a picture of Bangalore as we were flying in.  Home sweet home!
